Notes - Johann was listed as Master Tradesman, Mill Owner and Miller in the records when he married. He probably inherited the mill from his father, who appears to have had it from his father-in-law. It was a Windmill.
"John" C. Dietzman is found in the Pennsylvania State Census of 1842, in Washington Co, Pennsylvania. Genealogical citation of many of his later children have them born there. Some Genealogists list this as the first appearance of the surname DIETZMAN that has been located in American records.
According to Genealogy and Family History in U of Wisc Platteville, immigrated in June, 1835 from Bremerhaven in north Germany to Baltimore, Maryland aboard the American ship Napier. Passenger records survive in Baltimore and a painting of the ship "Napier" is in the maritime museum there.
About 1845, moved to Wisconsin. Bought the "Old Dietzman Homestead" property south of Mifflin in Iowa County beginning in 1847. Property is on "Lower Mifflin Road", south of the settlement of Mifflin, past the Cook-McFall Road. Address (today) is 784 Lower Mifflin Road. House sits half way up a limestone and shale ridge, above a creek bottom with a fresh water spring. Dietzman Cemetary is across the road, on a shaded hillside, being on a corner of the old property, cut off by the road from the remainder.
Acording to some sources he died at "Dallas, Black Jack, Iowa Co, Wisc."

John and Rosina emigrated from Germany abt 1848. Florence says they came into the US through Baltimore. Jacob lists his father, John's, birthplace as "Saxony".
