    • In Revolutionary War, fought with Loyalist Highlanders at Moore's Creek Bridge, NC. Later joined with the Colonists.

      Kept a journal of his time in the revolution that referenced by many authors. The journal is supposedly kept a the NC Museum of Military History. Was at Valley Forge with George Washington.
