Essex County, Ontario Census his age is hard to read. It's been transcribed as 45 but this doesn't match with 1881 and 1861 censuses. He was recorded in this census as "Dancy". In the 1861 Anderdon Twp. Essex County, Ontario Census his age is listed as 31 which puts his birth closer to the 1881 census and his death certificate dates. Essex County, Ontario Census she lists her age as 24 making her birth year 1837 or so. The spelling here is not confirmed. She shows up in various records as Harriet and even Henriette as well. Both Thomas and Walter list her name as 'Hattie' that's probably what she went by. in the 1851 census of Sandwich there is a James and Mary Mills aged 59 and 61 years. Both Church of England, born in Ireland. Not sure if they could be related to Hattie. Thats a stretch at best for them to be her parents. | Mills, Harriott (I311)

208 | In the 1900 census as Frank Ebert Mar 1866 birth date listed on the 1900 Census Emmigrated to the US in 1884 according to the 1900 census Arrived at the Port of Baltimore about the 20th of July, 1884 from Bremen, Germany on the vessel Braunschweig according to his naturalization papers. In another place on the papers he says it's an unknown day in June though. 5' 7" Blue eyes. He lists his occupation as a machinist and notes the "1st knuckle on this 2nd finger is crooked". Lived at 1615 S 47th St, Tacoma from at least 1918 through 1924 based on his naturalization papers. Also states that he has lived in Tacoma since Oct 7, 1909 so that would be when they arrived from down south except that he shows up in the Ft. Smith AR 1910 census. Maybe he was off by 1 year? In the 1921 census she specifically lists her birth year along with her age and in Jan 1930 she would have been 77 so she was probably off (or the enumerator misunderstood) by 10 years. Her last name is misspelled In the 1930 census as "Wallsh" and she lists her age at first marriage as 26. 217 | Johann was listed as Master Tradesman, Mill Owner and Miller in the records when he married. He probably inherited the mill from his father, who appears to have had it from his father-in-law. It was a Windmill. "John" C. Dietzman is found in the Pennsylvania State Census of 1842, in Washington Co, Pennsylvania. Genealogical citation of many of his later children have them born there. Some Genealogists list this as the first appearance of the surname DIETZMAN that has been located in American records. According to Genealogy and Family History in U of Wisc Platteville, immigrated in June, 1835 from Bremerhaven in north Germany to Baltimore, Maryland aboard the American ship Napier. Passenger records survive in Baltimore and a painting of the ship "Napier" is in the maritime museum there. About 1845, moved to Wisconsin. Bought the "Old Dietzman Homestead" property south of Mifflin in Iowa County beginning in 1847. Property is on "Lower Mifflin Road", south of the settlement of Mifflin, past the Cook-McFall Road. Address (today) is 784 Lower Mifflin Road. House sits half way up a limestone and shale ridge, above a creek bottom with a fresh water spring. Dietzman Cemetary is across the road, on a shaded hillside, being on a corner of the old property, cut off by the road from the remainder. Acording to some sources he died at "Dallas, Black Jack, Iowa Co, Wisc." All info taken from Kristin Lindlands baby book originally recorded by Thomas Lindland. 248 | Mary Penfield remarried after Samuel's death. Her 2nd husband was William Stone. "William Stone Genealogy" states that Wm Stone came to Guilford with wife and 9 children about 1710. Hannah Wolfe, his first wife died 28 Mar 1712. He married (2) Mary .... We believe this is our Mary Penfield and that the families had been old acquaintances since early days of Lynne. He died 28 Sept 1730 and our Mary died 30 Jan 1741She was buried in the Old Quarry Burying Ground. In 1870 by legislative act some bodies were moved, among them Mary Penfield-Stone. She was interred in Center Cemetery (Portland Conn) with some of her children.This record is found on p. 75 of "Records of Portland Burying Ground,"printed in 1897 and is to be found in the Bank near Portland's Town Hall. RC Church records say she married John Canning in 1908 which means most likely she was remarried before having Mary. She lived on placentia road when she got married. Her status is listed as "spinster". 1882 birthdate makes her 33 when she had Mary. I wonder what the odds are that Mary was her first child?
