Smoked Almonds

Ingredients

1 tablespoon cooking oil

1 cup whole almond, with skins

1 teaspoon liquid smoke

2 teaspoons all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon sea salt

Directions

Pour cooking oil over almonds in bowl.
Toss to coat well.

Spread almonds on frog mats on smoker grate (or a baking sheet sprayed with PAM)

Set smoker to 275 degree and smoke Almonds for 45 minutes.

Remove from smoker.

Pour nuts into medium bowl.

Sprinkle with liquid smoke.

Toss to coat well.

Mix flour and salt in cup.

Sprinkle over almonds.

Toss to coat well.

Spread back out on same frog mats.

Smoke for an additional 20 minutes.

Let nuts cool and seal in airtight container.

Notes

These were OK but not salty or flavorful enough. They did turn out with the right powdered coating and were cooked well.
