1/2 C Flour
1/2 C Corn meal
1/3 C Sugar
1/2 t Salt
1 1/2 t Baking Powder
1/2 C Milk
1 egg
2 Tbsp + 2 Tsp Vegetable Oil
Honey Butter
2 Parts Butter, 1 Part Honey
• Preheat oven to 400F and lightly grease an 10 inch cast iron skillet with butter.
• In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt and baking powder.
• In another bowl blend the egg, milk and vegetable oil until well combined.
• Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
• Pour batter into skillet.
• Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown, and a toothpick comes out clean.
Remove skillet from oven, and cool slightly before serving.
Cook about 20 to 25 minutes.

2 Tbs Butter, 1 Tbs Honey is about right for us.
